My name is Neil Blaber. From 2005-2018, I've been the Competition Director for AMD Magazine's World Championship of Custom Bike Building, responsible for competition management when the event has been held in Las Vegas (2005), Sturgis, SD, USA (2006-2012), and more recently in Essen (2013) and Cologne (2014,2016,2018), Germany. I also ran the AMD European Championship from 2005 until 2010 which took place at the Custom Chrome Europe Dealer Show in Mainz. |
Another aspect of the AMD World Championship series was the Affiliate Program, which saw independently run shows offer prizes to their winners to help with the cost of bike shipping to the World Championship. At many of these shows I've been involved in or overseen the judging process, and others completely organised their competition. These events have included:

- Asian International Motorcycle Expo, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2007
- S&S Cycle's 50th Anniversary competition in La Crosse, WI, USA, in 2007
- Irish Motorbike & Scooter Show, Dublin 2009, 2011, 2015, 2017, 2019
- Ace Cafe Custom & Motorcycle Show at Alexandra Palace, London, in 2010
- Moscow Custom & Tuning Show at Moto Park, 2010-2011
- California Dreamin', Bournemouth, England, 2011
- The Custom Motorcycle Show, Beaulieu, England, 2012-2013
- Biker Fest, Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017-2019
- Custom ExCeL at the MCN London Motorcycle Show, 2013
In 2013 my employment contract at AMD ended, and Showmaster was born as an independent show consultant, promoter and organiser utilising all the experience gained in the last 11 years of world class custom bike show management. I've continued to work with AMD and am available to manage your custom motorcycle competition if you feel you would benefit from my involvement.
